Stoneware bowls
These stoneware bowls are based on the shape of Malaysian cooking bowls, The decorated flange allows safe and easy removal of the cooking pot from the fire.
They are glazed on the inside .
The herringbone pattern was hand scribed onto the raw stoneware clay body, unglazed except for the top. It is inlaid with manganese dioxide which inlays the lines with black against the brown of the body. It was fired in a gas reduction kiln at home.
